hi guys. I gotta problem with my JPX

When I plug it with the piezo/mono jack, I get no sound...but on the other jack all work fine, but I don't have the piezo anymore.

If I push the amp very loud I can hear a very weak sound though.

Any solution ? It's new :(

The output from the buckers is active in that case, so it can be mixed with the low impedance piezo signal. Requires a battery to power it.

Okay thank you.

How many time does a battery generally last?

I don't have that particular model, so dunno, should be a while.

The preamp will be drawing current whenever a cable is plugged into the output jack, so best way to extend battery life is to unplug the guitar when you're not playing.

I only say "we can't help you here" because BP has told us repeatedly not to offer advice for instrument issues and instead refer the original poster to customer service.

i'm usually with you on this, but this one issue was a no brainer. he said it when he mentioned getting sound with a cranked amp. if it were something broken, he'd get crackles or no sound at all, instead of a thin thread being pushed thru the batt.

I agree it's more obvious than other instrument issues, but it doesn't change the fact that Sterling told us not to try to diagnose problems at all, so I err on the side of always referring to CS now.

If there's a simple fix to a problem (like replacing the battery, etc.) and you know what you're saying, it's generally ok to suggest it.

If you don't absolutely know what you're talking about with regards to a fix ("I dunno, try stringing it backwards" or "prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads") then best to not say anything, or refer the question to CS :D
