Problem with my ASS & G string

I've been loving my Rosewood ASS since I bought it in June. Over the past couple months, whenever I bend the G string a pinging noise comes from the nut. I've also noticed a lot of fret buzz on the low E string.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

It's been happening for a while now (although I don't think it was like this when I bought it), but I finally got around to bringing it in to an authorized EBMM repair shop to take a look at it. I've been working a ton the past couple months (and having problems with my boss), so it took me a while to bring it in. Unfortunately, I've been trying to straighten work out and it took me away from straightening out my ASS.

first guess? you need a setup.
if you get a sound from bending the note, it usually means it's touching another fret when the string moves sideways. same for you e string i guess.

I though that this was the perfect forum to be talking about my ASS, especially since I've been having problems with the G string...

Jeesh, I should of known that I was setting myself up for some ribbing.

When I bend the G string, it's not touching any of the other frets. The pinging noise is coming from the nut (I think). The E string probably just needs a set up, but I'm at a loss with the G.

I'm just joking around back at you, that's all.

I do have a serious question, but I was just trying to instill some humor in the question too. Out of all of the strings my ASS would have problems with, it has to be the G string! I think its hilarious how everyone writes about their Balls, especially when their Balls are ASSes.

If this place isn't for you and some obvious humor, it's not for me either.

But, I think we'll find that humor has its place here too.

The height of the string must be off if you get a buzz on one string, and somin else on the G

Have you called Customer Service? I don't mean to sound cocky or disrespectful. But if you are looking to get it fixed Customer Service is your best bet

1) Contact the store you purchased it from.
2) Contact customer service if #1 doesn't resolve the matter.

That's the general protocol we try to follow.

It could be something as a simple as a truss rod or saddle adjustment, or possibly a nut issue. Though if it didn't do it from the start I don't see it being more than a minor setup adjustment.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. Before I wrote my post, I had contacted the store that I bought it from and dropped it off at an authorized EBMM repair shot to take a look at it. I wasn't trying to complain about the guitar, I was just curious about people's thoughts on what might be wrong with it while I waited to hear back from the repair shop. I appreciate everyone's feedback and help.
