Problem with the battery on Luke 3

Hi,
I have no sound sometimes, the problem has arrived 2 times
Before I change the Battery I never have had that problèm
I think is pb contact with the 9v battery
Do you have same problem?

Could be that the battery isn't making proper contact with the terminals in the battery box. Not all 9V batteries are the same size, so this can happen.

If you gently push on the top of the battery compartment when it's open, does that fix the issue? If so, you can put something at the bottom of the battery (folded piece of paper, cardboard, etc.) to make it fit more snugly in the compartment.

I had the same issue and I fixed it as beej suggested: a folded piece of paper in the battery box, between battery bottom and holder's clip.

I think it dépends of the battery brand
I never had problèm before, but the pb appears when i change for duracell

Yep.
It seems there are small size differences among 9V batteries from different manufacturers and some of them can "dance" in the holder more than others.

Related question: how long do these batteries generally last in a Luke III? When I bought mine (last fall) I put a new 9V in it.... do they just "stop working" one day when they get to a certain power level? Or does the tone change as the battery gets weaker over time?
