That's all they're good for..................

Unfortunately I do know some people that have bought replica guitars like these. They don't actually play guitar, but used them to decorate their bars or houses.

I can't even imagine how they would sound, or feel, yuck!

Here's why I think it is a fake:

A real EBMM comes with a hardcase.

Meh, neither of my early-ish Sterlings came with a case and I bought them new. Or I got ripped off by GC and a local shop. Still using non-fitting generic cases for em.

It is wilder than the wild west and the government over there ignores our laws....it is really a bad deal...Where we get them is at the port. You register your trademarks with customs if you are having a problem and the put extra scrutiny on imports. The just seized thousands of counterfeit black Ernie Ball Straps.

Great to hear that customs are on to this. Lots of talk on government level and in EU now regarding counterfeits, copyrights, illegal down loadning e.t.c. I have the feeling that there are some major actions "in the pipeline" ahead. This problem has grown out of proportion. Can´t go on like this no more. Will be interesting to see what happens these next couple of years.

Pure speculation on my part here...but is it possible nobody clamps down on the Chinese counterfeiting problem because the US has borrowed so much money from the them??

No, like Jan said, it's not just a problem that affects US companies.

The Chinese government does not pay that much attention to the cheap knock-off's and it seems they only have token prosecutions every now and then...
