Man... Did they quit giving free strings out when you register your instrument? That SUCKS! It figures they would do that RIGHT before I got my Bongo.

Where on the website does it say the offer is still good? It doesn't have the string selector on the product registration page anymore.

I bought two new EBMMs in November and December...got strings for both of 'em. If it's been discontinued, it happened quite recently. I don't remember if there was a place to 'select string' - I don't think so.

I registered a four string Bongo and got a set of Slinkys (4).

I registered a five string Bongo and got a set of Slinkys (5).

It's like they somehow KNEW, you know?

Bovinehost has it right; they are mind readers! I think it has something to do with the serial # when you register.
I got a set of slinkys for my four string sub.
Patience is a virtue!!! you'll get them.

Patience may be a virtue, but exactly how virtuous do we have to be? I registered a SUB a little over 2 months ago, will I be seeing a new set of strings in the mail soon? How long is the typical wait?

Well, I think we should keep in mind that the free strings are really just out of the goodness of the EB corporate heart. I got mine within a couple of months, but even if they'd never come, would I still be happy with my basses?

Um...........yup.

How about you?

Two months is just about right, I really never gave the strings a second thought and then, yala! they arrived. I bought my instrument for the instrument not the free strings.
You will get them, if not complain to EB.

It used to have a list of strings to choose from when you register, and now it's not there. It's no big deal if they don't do it anymore... I would've still ordered my bass if regardless. I just feel like I missed out is all. :*(

It's cool if they send a set of slinkys, though. :)
