Jeez your asking us how to pronounce words ?

My family in America and I are always taking the pi55 out of each other over pronunciation.

Words like
Croissant
Tomato
hell they come from St Louis and that can't say that properly (They say "Lewis")

So disregard all American ideas of pronunciation ;)(joke honestly)
and listen to the "Greek guy" On the other thread he says Pie -zo and to be honest that's what I say - but I have been known (as heard in one of my earlier video clips) to call it PEE -zo)

No my friend. It's Greek. Trust me, I know. :D

If you want to be true to the original word, you must pronounce it pee-ay-zo.

It is from the Greek word "piesis" (pee-ay-sis) which means "pressure". ;)

yeah.

the american "pie-zo" pronunciation is an americanised one (no offense to your fine country).

A lot of the confusion arrises because petrucci pronounces it "pie-zo"
someone should tell him he's wrong :)

I'm still going with the "Italian" version: pee-et-zo
Sound the most authentic to me since most musical terms are infact Italian (e.g. arpeggio, forte, piano etc.)
