Proud owner of new 25th

I just got my 25th a couple of weeks ago, and I'm totally pleased with it. This is the first new electric I've bought since 1971, and the first guitar I've ever owned with humbuckers. This is the most versatile, sweet sounding axe I've ever played. I can even pull off a darn good jazz tone with it. I got the quilt top, maple fretboard, with whammy. I wish I could buy another one in flame with rosewood, but I spent many hours deciding on this combo, and I couldn't be happier. I like the sound of maple fretboards (my '59 strat is a maple), and the birdseye maple on this instrument is just stunning. If you can get one, get one!

Yea, I need some pics. Hope to practice a little photography this weekend, but I'd rather play. You guys should see it though, it's not exactly what I'd call a quilt top, but after I took it home and played through my rig, I fell in love, even though this is certainly not what you'd call classic quilt. What's interesting about this guitar is how much it likes to be played through my rather primative gear with no effects. I always use effects and/or modeling with my other axes, but the 25th really likes just a little hair and nothing else.

I love it when the tops aren't what you would say 'typical'.
