Ok, I slept on it...

Fitfully...

Dreams of rosewood Morse in head...

Have called Sweetwater and am now en route the three hour drive to there so I can put my paws on it.

Anybody think I'm NOT going to buy it?! :)

The things we do for love...

Bring me back that sterling silver AL SSS please. Sweetwater has such a great EBMM selection!

There is NO doubt that guitar is coming home with you! You will NOT drive 6 hours round trip just to "try it out". No way! :)

Guess what? Yup - bought it! :D

EdHalen - not sure if I should thank you or be mad for tipping me off about this guitar? :p

Sorry, Joe - I got the one with the Floyd Rose, because my other two Morse's are hardtail. They still have the hardtail rosewood if you're interested.

Sorry man - I guess :) :) :). Hopefully you'll have it for a LONG LONG time - then thanks would be in order! :) I was REALLY happy when I saw SW became an EBMM dealer. NOBODY out there displays their guitars online like they do. Nobody I've found anyway. I can't imagine a line of instruments that takes advantage of that any better than EBMM. It's also nice that you can split up payments for them if you want to (at least until the end of this year) over 24 months.

They sure do bring on the GAS, eh?

Kestrou - can you update on this fine instrument you purchased? Review with pics??? :)

Well, if you insist! :)

I don't regularly gig, but get out to occasional jams and this is now my "performance piece" because it's so warm sounding - which I like - and a real "looker".

Here's a quick vid of me jamming Sweet Home Chicago with it in a pickup jam with two other guitarists:
- my wife is taking the video, but she pans away from me right as my quick 12 bar solo starts about 1:40. Yeah, I know I can't sing either! :)

The guy doing sound commented afterwards about the great tone it had.

Still play my 99 model Morse Blueburst more at home because the neck on it is more broke in from the last 15+ years, but this gets better/smoother all the time.

Thanks again for the tip on it - wifey finally did figure out I'd snuck a new guitar in, but have since bought others so this one is long forgiven in her book (I hope - you don't think she REALLY keeps track do you?)

Nice Kestrou! that was pretty rockin' man, and the singing I thought was good too. I only wish I could sing while playing.
That Morse is a beaut for sure! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for update man! I'm glad your enjoying it! I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the SW site. My pleasure helping out a fellow knucklehead score a great MM guitar! Glad you didn't get the frying pan!! :D

P.S. - there is STILL an AMAZING Rosewood Reflex there that I WISH I had the $$ for. Just can't do it. More pressing financial matters. My days of sneaking guitars in are over.... for the foreseeable future. :D

Oh I get the frying pan - just have a hard enough head to take it! :)
