GC/MF has these in stock online. Gassing hard for one of these as I've been wanting a snappier brighter more vocal guitar. I thought the Luke 3 was it but when I tried one, the frets just didn't do it for me.

Anyone know the specs on these?

I know they are a special run and I remember them being announced a while ago. I can't dig up the specs anywhere. GC on the platinum site says alder bodies but they certainly look like ash to me.

Don't ever remember them putting the details out on this. I would think GC would have the correct info on the listing. But you never know. Maybe AJ can chime in if he has the time.

Music man doesn't usually route swinging pools, they tend to route only for the pups that are there.

Not sure about the route but I just had the PAF 36 in the bridge replaced with an illuminator. WOW! What an awesome tone!

'Swinging pools', I've never heard that before, what an interesting turn of phrase.
Love the look of those Silo Floyd HHs, definite Green Meanie vibe, yet another EBMM to add to my lefty wish list. I completely understand the GAS.

DrewH - What was it about the frets on the LIII? Are you used to jumbo?

I love mine!!

I was thinking about getting one but im an HSS kinda guy as opposed to a HH. I'm sure if i fiddled with the electronics i could prolly get it to make a convincing tele sound. Guess i could just gouge another hole in the middle if I wanted.

I am very interested in one of these. They look great. As much as I'd like the maple neck I'm thinking the Teal/Rosewood is the one I'll go for. It'll be a nice contrast to my Pacific Blue Burst ASS.

Any owners care to chime in on their thoughts of these?

My one question, is the pickup switch a three way (like Axis) or five way (like ASS)?
