Not that I want to make a career out of it - but, I can't count the number of times I've had to apologize (that doesn't include the number of times I should have and didn't)!

I'm trying though!

John,

Glad to hear that the lump turned out to be non-cancerous. I can imagine how worried you and your wife must have been. There's a saying here on the forum that I think is really fitting for you now: play that SR5 in good health, friend.

One good turn deserves another, and to be honest with you, I have to apologize too, to you. I called you a moron in the aftermath of the previous thread, because I couldn't understand exactly why you got so "bent out of shape" with everyone. So, I'm sorry for that. This is a good reminder for me to keep that judgement in check. So often you have no visibility into what's going on "behind the scenes" with someone - into the circumstances that can sometimes compel people to act in ways that aren't "typical" for them. And we all do it!

Welcome back & see ya around.

Thank you to all of you!! :)

Welcome back, John. That took nads to come back and apologize....nicely done!

That said......ain't it great that the best thing we have to argue about is the cause of unsatisfying bass tone?;)

Whoa! That took some doing, and is probably an internet first.

Good to have you around, good to hear things aren't as black as you feared, good that the "community" here has responded with much more positivism than some places I could mention.

Keep playin' bro, it's the only thing that keeps us real.

Way to go, John!! Glad you'r situation is looking up.
I cannot minimize the gear situation though. If my gear sounds bad for some reason, it bums me out! I go home in a bad mood. Funny though...this happens less and less now that I have a MusicMan!
Welcome back. Good to have you here!

John, I won't hijack this thread and tell you of my similar experience 10 yrs. ago.....but man, I feel for you! I hope things get better for you. Take some time off and go see a Cards game:D If you're ever up north (Iowa City) drop me a note, and we'll catch a gig at the Mill.
Steve

Steve, Nice to hear from a guy in my neck of the woods! How in the world do you know I'm a Card's fan (fanatic actually!!)?
Feel free to share your experience, a hijacking might take this plane to interesting ground!!:D

Nope, nothing special about it, but I've always lived by the idea, "If I'm stupid enough to say or do it, I better be SMART enough to own it." and trust me man, I've said and done stupider!!!:D

Thank you all for the positive posts. I was busier than a cat covering you know what this week in the clinic, my health is good, my nephew is actually making some GOOD choices and baseball has started and my bass sound is giving me a serious tone-bone!!.....LIFE is good!!

Well..............it was really 11 yrs ago. In a nut shell (July of '97) this all occured within 24 hrs: I was told by my Dentist, that I had signs of cancer on my gums and the inside of my mouth, I was fired from a dealership I had worked at for 6 years, my lovely wife told me she was pregnant with our 2nd child and my Dad was sent to the hospital for a 5 way bypass. What happened? My ENT Dr. had me tested.....ended up the cancerous tissues in my mouth, were due to bad dental work, I ended up with another tech job, with better pay and much closer to my home, my 10 yr. old Hunter loves baseball and is a self professed "math geek", and my Dad healed quickly and lived another 10+ yrs. before Alzheimers took him. Life is short, but it's good!
Forgive me for lack of knowledge in sports, I'm 48 and I'm getting into the whole college sports scene, as well as baseball. Funny thing, I come from an athletic family (Dad was a basketball coach) and I have to ask my Wife to explain as to what penalty happened on the field....I'm slow, but I'm catching on.
The Cards are big up here, my cousin's son (Tommy Urbani) pitched for a short time, for the Cards; I never met him.
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. and yes, if you're ever up this way, let me know. I know a couple of other MM players in IC, who gig frequently. One plays for the Rich Webster Band, the the other plays for the Recliners........fun gigs at "The Mill".
