I just got off the phone. 4 string lined fretless single H with piezo in Medallion Gold with White Ice pg. Wanted to get this order in before all the post NAMM madness starts. This is the first bass I will get completely to my specs. Is the build time still 3-4 months right now?

Also if anybody is interested in my Pearl Lavender defretted SR5, I will be selling it in the next three months. Beth has first dibs if she wants it though. Email if interested.

In conlusion, Woohoo!

Hey Smallequestrian,

YES! Still interested in the defretted 5er. I'll PM you within the next few days. Thank you so much for giving me first dibs!

I know you had pretty much made your decision to buy it before we swapped, but did having the Bongo around make your decision any easier?

Yeah it helped a little, I decided that while I didn't love the Neck pickup as much as I thought I did (still great btw), that what I really love is the four band EQ. SO between people saying the single H being a great rock n roll sound and the piezo and four band, I think I am really gonna dig this combo. Mainly the Bongo seems very articulate to me, more so than any I have played.

What I was really surprised about is that I didn't have trouble dialing in the EQ. Usually I get too many options and I can't find a tone I like at all. Heck I have trouble with the SR5. Not so with the Bongo, in fact I was finding many useable tones. I just think the EQ would be killer on a fretless. I will have a strange assortment of gear when it comes in. The weird retro/but modern Aluminum finished passive Fish, the high tech 18v Bongo, and the Ampeg B100R amp. Cant wait.

Just for kicks, my old medallion gold Ray, which went to spend a short time with Mista Chris Workman. That was one good StingRay.

Forgot to mention, and someone correct me if Im wrong; although the Single H Bongos have a 3 band preamp, I think they come with the 4 band if theyre piezo equipped.

Also, its very good to see someone snagging the most highly underrated member of the Bongo clan.

Tis true. I wouldn't have ordered a Single H without it.

MM that sounds fantastic. Can't wait till ya get it, I'm sure it'll blow your mind.

Way to go Little Horse - May the countdown begin! :D

I am about 56 days into my fretless Bongo wait-time...

And counting...

***literally!***

Nice! :D

Ordered a Lava Pearl fretless Bongo 4HHP and waiting right along with you :p

Really thought about the 4HP since it does have a 4 EQ but went with the 4HHP just to have the extra tonal option. I wish I could have heard a 4HP, I probably would go for it but I have a Sapphire Black fretted Bongo 4HH and love the tones so I went with what I know.

Congrats again :)

Congrats on the decision. Sounds like you really thought it out and ordered what you wanted. Ejoy it when you get it and enjoy Cabos.

I am going through that myself now.

My decision is when I get a Bongo going single H.

We will see if it is good enough to get me to leave the SR5 at home. BP done convinced me which bongo I want.
