Just put down a deposit on a new bass. Bongo 4-string; HH pickups with Piezos; Unlined Fretless in Blue Dawn. ETA is late June/early July.

Totally. Now I just want one more bass and I'll have my personal dream trio (as I like to call it).
4-string H Sterling (got it)
4-string HH with Piezo Unlined Fretless Bongo (ordered it)
StingRay 5 HS with Maple fretboard (still need it).


I'm sooo excited. and 4 months isn't that bad of a wait. It'll feel like forever though, but at least it'll be here in time for college, that was my main issue.

When I placed my order a couple months ago, I was told 8-9 months.
I really really really doubt we'll be seeing them in june or july.

Unless the dealer already had one like that on order, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a June/July arrival. Of course, stranger things have happened. I'd like it to be true since a 3 month production bucket would push the cutoff date for the 2007 ltd eds to August, or September....

That will be an astoundingly amazing bass. If I hadn't bought a house in January, I'd have definitely bought a Bongo in Blue Dawn.

When placing my latest order for a Bongo I was quoted 12 weeks.

I've always ordered from the same guy and he knows I've no trouble waiting, so I do not think he was "low-balling" the wait time... I'll double-check with him today just in case!
