Purple EVH on the bay - does it look legit?

I saw this guitar a week or two ago, then it vanished off ebay. It's back again, but something doesn't look right about the finish - IMHO. Thoughts?

You're right man. That looks shady to me. I bet it was faded and he tried to re-finish but the color doesn't look like any purple EVH I've ever seen, and I own two. That's also not what it looks like if it fades. The headstock looks like authentic (slightly faded) purple. Bridge pickup is not stock. I would be very wary of this guitar.

Something's fishy about that one ! It sold last week for the Buy it Now Price ....... and now it has re appeared. Obviously the Bridge p/up is not original as well.

At least there's a disclaimer in the description about the bridge pup. Otherwise, looks strange. A flame body with a quilted looking headstock????????

I have a faded purple EVH and that is indeed not how it fades. Even when the purple EVH guitars were new, they were more of a blue color.

Looks fishy to me....

I like how the forumites can spot that something is off in about 2 seconds.
