I think matching headstocks, especially darker colors, look WEIRD with maple boards.

Agreed, That is just too much

It looks like a popsicle stick with a little bit of grape on the tip.

Queasy.

I'd email the guy and get a feel for him, maybe get a phone # and talk to him. Everyone has to start somewhere, but you gotta be careful out there.

Hey There,
~
My heart skipped a beat when the TransPurp ebay page loaded ... then it settled down when I could see only 4 nobbies ... my ripped off 2nd Sister had a piezo bridge ...
Phew !!! What a rush I don't need !!!
(missing unit # 151 54 11 05 / ser# E34414) reported to EBMM
~

Q. Is there much of a market for "chopped" EBMM instruments ie "FrankenRayz" ?
~

On the Purp&hdstk / Maple SR5 thing ... I already had the Transparent (emerald) Green / Maple-natural bass covered with a beautiful G&L SB-2 (flatwound)
~

What I'm curious about now is "why a Blk hdstk?" on the Envy Green / Rosewood Ltd ??? I Like the idea, but "whynot" matching ?
~

I think it just depends on what you get used to. I currently only have one EBMM and it does not have a matching headstock...I really couldn't picture it with one. That's just my 2 cents.

This one looked great with a matching headstock. Black sparkle! Mmm, it was a yummy good bass. I do have regrets about this one, and I don't have many regrets!

This one wouldn't work. It's something about the contrast, I guess.

Some lucky swimming-in-money feller bought that one for $1150 BIN. Not me, buddy. Not for that price. Yikes.

I'm slowly figuring out that a post that says nothing but

+1

is some sort of sign of agreement.

Like if I really knew what it meant, and I agreed with you, I would now enter

+2

This is all anecdotal, Ben. I just be guessin'.
