Question about back plate Luke 3

Hi,
The back plate for the springs cavity of my Luke 3 has no drills
I see some Luke 3 with two holes, why?

Earlier L3 guitars have only six holes for the strings. They changed sometimes after 2013 to the ones with the long cutouts for adjusting the tremolo spring claw without having to take the cover off.
