Question about Bongo strap buttons

I know the tuners were changed on Bongos at some point.

Question I have is were the strap buttons changed on Bongos at some point as well?

Happened to encounter two Bongo basses with the old style tuners, and the strap buttons on each were compatible with the schaller strap lock system. Supposedly one of them had no modifications. Other was unknown.

Just curious if Bongos with the old style tuners had strap buttons compatible with schaller at one point, or just coincidence that these two basses had the buttons replaced.

They were put there aftermarket. If EB were to put OEM straplocks on their guitars rest assured that they will be EB's own straplocks.

I have owned I think 7 Bongos since 2010. Some with the new and old tuners. All of mine were bought new and all had the same strap buttons. I then swapped out all of them for the Ernie Ball Super Locks too.
