OK, so I am saving for a loaded Petrucci. I actually drove from Minneapolis to Duluth yetserday to try a few out at a store. Nearly bought one, but decided to hold off for now. The visit did confirm that I definitely want one. So that realization, coupled with the time I got to spend with my oldest daughter on the trip, made it well worth my time and gas money.

So, today I was poking around the forum here and read about the Dargie Delight guitars. I am known among my friends for my fondness of martinis. So a Petrucci with martini inlays is right up my alley.

My sneaking suspicion is that I missed this boat by about 9 months.

Is there any way to still get one of those? I mean, short of waiting 10 years for one to show up on ebay?

You probably missed the boat, train, etc. HOWEVER, your best bet is to contact EBMM customer service and see if they can locate one that is unclaimed at one of their dealers. That is how I scored my Luke Dargie (Thanks again Dan!)

Best of Luck:)

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try, though I won't get my hopes up too high.

FWIW - there was a unclaimed Petrucci 7 stringer available this weekend until about an hour before I tried to close the deal...
I was working on the deal when a high roller came in and scooped it up :) Lesson learned on that one, I was caught loitering/snoozing... aka hesitating :(
The usual last second jitters...do I really want two Dargies?, will I like the seven string... DOH! wouldacouldashoulda.
