I read a lot about the gunstock oil and lemon oil treatments for the guitar necks, so I am well aware of how they should be used and such. But, living in Belgium, I am far from sure that I can find something similar just by walking into a store and asking about it (as you might know, guns and similar items are very hard to buy in Belgium since everything is in need of a permit and not all that easy to obtain).

So, my question is: can someone be so kind to give me a short description of the different ingredients in those bottles (and even brandnames if possible) so I can start looking around over here if I can find something identical or similar. I'm a pharmacist and we tend to get completely turned on :p  by descriptions of the different ingredients of a product (no pun intended  :p ). The lemon oil should by rather easy to find, but it's primarily the gunstock oil that I'm worried about.

Thanks a bunch guys,

cheers, Tom.

Hello Tom,

I'm in Holland so i had the same problem. I didn´t wanna take any risks so i kept searching for the Birchwood stuff.

I finally found this company in the UK: www.blackleyandson.com

They had both the tru oil and the gunstock wax in stock.

I'm not sure if they still have it today as i ordered it 1,5 years ago but you might want to email them and check it out.

good luck :)
