Your Axis guitar in Opaque black with rosewood neck was born on 30 April 1998 here in the factory in San Luis Obispo, California and was originally sold to Kanda Shokai, our distributor for Japan. Indeed, your Axis instrument is genuine, but it is not one of the earlier models.
