I dig the idea, and it probably works, but what happens when you wear that nut out and you have to come up with a replacement.
Do you order from EBMM or look elsewhere?
I noticed they r wider/thicker as opposed to the dimensions of nuts on older MM guitars....

Good question. AND, can I buy one separate and have it installed on an older EBMM that did not have one?

Not probably. It works.

If you wear one out, you have to get it from EB/MM

Yes they are wider than our old style nuts. We do not retrofit the compensated nuts.

Thats the deal

When was the new compensated nut introduced?
I bleeb it was the latter part of 2005. I know when I ordered mine in Sept '05, I didn't know whether or not I would get the compensated nut.

I had an Earvana comp nut retro fitted to my Tele about 2 years ago (but it was fitted by the guy who initially built the guitar for me.
