I have 2 bongo 4 string HH basses. I have one tuned standard and the other is tuned down to D G C F. They both have the same brand strings except the one that is down tuned has a heavier set. Other than that everything is identical including setup and pickup height-which is at factory specs.
Ok, here is my question. Both basses seem to have identical output when the blend is in the center. On one though the volume drops off considerably as the bridge pickup is blended in. It's very noticable and again the other bass is not doing this.
Would a low battery do this? Even though I tested the batteries and they still have juice, maybe not enough though. Thats all I can think of, unless the pickup is defective.
Anyway, any help appreciated.
