I ordered my Axis on Saturday, and the guitar dealer phoned and said that there were some changes that I should be aware of...does anyone know what these might be 'cause I'm getting worried

I would double check with the dealer to see what's up!?
Especially if Big Poppa says there are none!

Dude, sounds like they might be yanking your chain. Contact Pete or Bassplayer and buy it thru one of them.

Best of luck, Glenn |B)

The only thing I can think of is if the exchange rate changed (I'm ordering it from Canada) and maybe the price changed a little bit

I ordered Axis, Maple, Quilt Top, Trans Gold, Matching headstock

The exchange rate would only be a problem if you're ordering from the US, if you're buying it from a Canadian dealer the price shouldn't change enough to warrant a warning like that.

If he phoned you though and said there were changes you need to be aware of, why didn't he tell you the changes then?

Tgere´s always littlebit eximent in the air when ordering expensive guitars from another country. It is sad, that there´s some people with fraud-attitude. BtW: what kind of ordering system is most safiest, when it comes to ordering stuff from another country? Ordering as COD is of course one of most liable way, but very few sender accepts that.

Ok so they said that the changes were that if I didnt order a premium top I might end up with a quilt top or a flametop, but if I get the premium top then i get to choose.

I really don't want a flametop so I'm getting the premium top and getting the quilt top

I didn't know that, so I guess I'm getting a fully loaded one now :p

Please keep in mind that domestic US dealers are not allowed to ship products internationally. ;)

really ?

I have contacted dealers and they don't say anything and know a few people who have gotten an MM product from dealers in US.

When all is said and done it works out to the same or more after exchange rate, customs fees, GST , shipping, bokerage fees, and insurance.

They just didn't have to wait as the dealer had the ones they wanted in stock.
