I had this question in another thread but Big Poppa probably didn't see it.

Sterling, I'm curious what Number 26 sounds like? I've seen that bass before...looks very nice. Looks like a 5 string pickup in a 4 string. I assume Leo designed this to increase output while the string is vibrating. The poles are staggered between the strings. Is this bass "hotter" so to speak then other Stingrays?

Where have you seen this bass? It is a one off.

The reason was the first protos were a little harsh and the magnets were also interfering with the string vibration. The idea was to soften the bass and let the string vibrate more

Oh...I know it's one of a kind. I just meant I had seen pics before. Then I was checking out Gavin's Rare Bass Gallery yesterday and saw the bass again. I wish I had seen it in person!!!
