BP, I assume you had something to do with the slim profile design of the Sterling neck :) Was any thought given to using that profile on the Bongo? Or was, as it seems, a compromise made to make the profile somewhere between a Sterling and a Ray? Just curious.

Or do you just have tiny hands?

I have smallish hands, so I'm considering a Sterling as my next MM purchase

the sterling is an amazing bass. the neck is about 70% of why its my fav MM bass ... smaller size body and tone make up the remaining 30%.

you should get one :)

hey kids....Dudley and I did the sterling neck as kind of a jazz style but not so extreme. we also made the body a little smaller and over all the sterling was a great way for use some of the things that we learned making the sr5. We have made many changes to the Sting Ray over the years but really needed to make a new statement with the sterling......I have HUGE hands when ordering golf gloves from hot proshop chicks. Normal when it is just the pro. The bongo was all about in between the two
