I just put my 1989 stingray bass on ebay. It should be up tomorrow at 7:45 anyways. Its black with a maple neck and everything works great. Comes with a SKB case and the string mutes. Im just wondering how much should I expect to get off of this bass? Its in great condition the the neck is the prettiest you will ever see I swear lol. Has some belt rash on the back and Just because Im looking forward to my next ray. And has one large nick on the back corner by the strap.... thing.. Im just wondering how much to expect so I can plan my next ray.

It's called an auction for a reason. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

I'd let it roll and see what happens, but that's just me.

Spencer, I do not want to rain on your parade, but you have made a classic error: No good pics!
You write that the neck is beautiful, and yet you don't show the neck at all. To a prospective buyer that isn´t too comforting.
Also, you mention some belt buckle wear, and again the potential buyer cannot see for himself what it looks like. That coupled with the fact that it is your first auction may very well give you a real low selling price.
But good luck with the sale anyway!

well I just wanted to know how much one would cost because I thought since the bass was so old it needed one. A few frets were buzzing but I just adjusted the neck and bridge and everthing sounded fine so I didn't bother.

Many people waste money on refret jobs when they're not even needed. Unless the frets are worn so low that it's practically a fretless, all you simply need is a fret leveling job, which is cheap and does wonders.

700-750 is about it, especially for one of the most common colors on a Ray.
