I know EB's necks are treated with oil and wax, but what about the fretboards, particularly their rosewood? Does anyone know if their all rosewood neck axis is treated with anything?
Thanks,

As far as I know you should use high grade Lemon Oil, for example Old English Lemon Oil (or sth similar I can't remember the exact name),

Thanks for your replies. Maybe I should clarify myself. I don't have an EB right now (actually, I don't have an electric at all).
My question was with re: to new EB necks.
Thanks,

Well, I know lemon oil is used to clean fretboards such as ebony and/or rosewood.
My question pertains to EB's neck treatment. In other words, I know that their maple necks are treated with truoil and wax (both neck and fretboard), but what about their rosewood fretboards? Do they treat them with anything before they leave the factory? I only ask because I played an axis with a rosewood neck and fretboard (both) and I loved it. I just wanted to know if they treated it with oil and wax like they do their maple necks+fretboards.
Thanks,
