Maybe I can put longer screws in the bridge...; And why would anyone place a brass nut???

Brass nuts were one of those weird fads in the 70s although some people still believe it increases sustain.

Of course, common sense would tell you that it would only increase sustain on a plucked open string, but some people still believe it.

Never had one, personally. Didn't make sense to me then, doesn't make sense to me now.
