The new live CD (dunno if available in US) of their Hyde Park (London) shows ain't too bad. Drummer in my band disagrees, but I like it.

That said, some of their older live performances were truly awful, particularly on the vocals front. Seems Mr K has improved somewhat of late.

Isn't that what makes them the Chili Peppers? Listen to some of the old Rolling Stones stuff, their vocals are horrible, and yet it is one their trademarks. IMHO.

yeh, i got that hyde park peppers cd as an import, and i hate it, no energy... live at slane castle is by far their best live cd. As for the days where anthony sucked singing live, it was said that he couldnt hear him self in those large stadiums. i guess those in ear moniters help alot cause when i saw them, he was on.

CD & DVD of both would be great, everyone's happy!

I don't know what AK's 'excuses' were for his poor vocals but I understand he's also had lessons so that no doubt helps.
