Well, I've got a digital camera and no problem getting some pics, I just don't know how to get them posted up for you. If you or someone else knows the proceedure and wants to pass it on, I'll give it my best shot.

The best way is to sign up for a photobucket account and upload your pics there - it's free.

You then paste the
email] :)

Sign up at photobucket.com

It's free and easy to use.

Edit: too slow!

When you're posting, there's a button above the reply box, fifth from right that has a pic of what looks like the sun above a mountain... click on it and enter the photo URL to the box that comes up...

Edit: Didn't work for some reason... I guess you already did that! :)

Edit2: When you get your photobucket album up, there's some boxes under the thumbnails that have the URL you need to enter. I think you must have clicked on the thumb nail and copied from there.

Grr - can't see yet as the silly filter at work blocks photobucket!

Roll on 5:30 so I can go home and look!

I've already gained approval from hubby to purchase bass if all goes well, so you may already have a buyer once I can see what it looks like! And if July/August is ok with you.

I would edit my old post but..

.. that thing is so beautiful that it deserves a new post of it's own.

Mike - can I pretty please have first dibs on it when you decide you want to sell it? It's so so stunning I can't resist it!

Even had Trev drooling, and for a guitar player, he doesn't do that often over basses!

Please please please let me have first refusal (don't make me beg!) :D

Yep.

For the UK, you can calculate the final price as:

((Price + postage)+3.9% import duty)+17.5% VAT

For a $500 bass with $100 shipping, you'll end up paying £417

$600... £487
$700... £557
$800... £626
$900... £696
$1000... £765

You might pay a little more on the postage, and there might be an additional processing fee from the carriers (around £10)
That seems a great deal.
You 100% sure about the 3.9 % import duty?

Hey you, he's drooled over those pics enough already :D :D :D We're working on it!

No plans to sell yours have you? ;)

Checked the customs site, and it's between 3.2 and 3.7% import duty plus VAT :)

I was working from this...

http://www.bassworld.co.uk/pn/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2804

But it appears from this...

http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/downloadFile?contentID=HMCE_PROD_009989

...that the correct figure is between 3.2 and 3.7% as you said.

Australia: (Price + Shipping Cost) + 10% GST. No Import duty

Indonesia: (Price + Shipping Cost) + 10% GST + 10% import duty + 20% luxury tax + 7.5% income tax. Ouch!!
