Hello,

Planet Waves/ D'Addario used to make a nice line of cables with quick release ends, so that the strap could be removed without removing the ends from the guitar. Those have been discontinued. I know for a while that kepur had something similar, but those seem to have become impossible to find. I realize that DiMarzio makes the ClipLock straps, but those require removal of the orginal strap buttons and screws.

Can anyone recommend a quick release strap that doesn't rely on metal connectors or clips, or replacing the standard hardware? Levy's, Planet Waves, D'Andrea, ANYONE?

I take its for an electric guitar? I have seen some for acoustics but not electrics. Unless you want a quick release strap locker? If so here is a place in The south of england that do the sort of thing you want, Its 3rd up form the bottom.

Caveat Emptor
Beware ! I didn't have a very good experience with this very strap.
I got one when I bought my AL. The strap came off the button several times but each time the guitar did not crash to the floor. It happened with me and when another person tried my guitar. I do not trust this strap AT ALL.

I know its a pain but the best locks are Jim Dunlop. My guitar building buddy swears by them. I have a pickboy version on my Les Paul that has to be 15 years old and they are great - but you do have to replace the strap buttons - I just bought some today on E bay for £5 second hand - new thay are about £14.
