you know the media has been saying that he took the promoters money for the 02 shows and wasnt doing anything....We were working with his new band and the guitarist was using a 25th for beat it and all of that era stuff......you cannot believe everything in the media

Man, EBMM would have been well represented at those shows.

From what I've been reading I don't think people were 100% believing the reports because a lot of news agencies were using TMZ.com as their source. I tend not to believe most of what TMZ report. Talk about trash Television.

Billy Jean = My Favorite MJ song.

R.I.P. MJ, Legend. Tragedy, in every sense of the word. Had everything a person could possibly want, except happiness.

Probably the guy the got me into music...
My mother always tells me how I used to get all hyped up dancing to the Thriller album when I was a baby.

A sad day for me!
R.I.P. MJ!

The Jackson 5 was my first 2 albums. For me MJ was the difference between skill and talent. Pure talent.
I'm just wow'd with his entire entertainment package.

BP I totally agree with you about the media.

My favorite has to be The Carol Burnett Show performance of Dancing Machine. I never missed a re run of Carol hoping it would be that episode. Never happened though. Thank goodness for youtube.

It's not often that someone comes along with his talent and sense of charity. It's unfortunate that so much energy is spent picking the man's life apart rather than to appreciate him for his musical and social contributions. I hope he has found the peace he so deserves.

It was the first thing I heard this morning and even though I didn't care too much for his later work I was kinda shocked. May he rest in peace.

That's really sad news. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it for the first time on news this morning.

Rest In Peace Michael

I found out at 1.00am in the UK - just shocked...I even went and woke up my wife to tell her (which is risking life in itself) and she couldn't believe it. Makes you realise how much impact a musician / entertainer can have on your life without you even realising it....like Freddie Mercury - he was just part of your life and then very suddenly they're gone and it feels as if part of your childhood / youth goes with them........very, very sad.

RIP Michael....there's a supergroup up there waiting for you - and Elvis has a spare rhinestone suit!

and not forgetting, RIP Farah.

A sad loss for music. It's the Glastonbury festival starting in afew hours in the UK. No doubt there'll be many artists wanting to pay musical tributes. Had to smile when I thought about all the bands now huddled round an acoustic guitar trying to figure out Lukes riffs.
