Glenn pointed out the extra tone knob which is not Music Man's usual.
How many of you noticed it?

Looks like a re-vamped version of the current BFR Cutlass -- respray, strip the neck maybe?

Different neck profile from the norm as well, which is the one thing that's kept me from getting a Cutlass.

The pickup comparison was really cool, the EBMM pickups definitely hold their own! After seeing this I may be picking up a set of his Tryptychs for a Strat I've got that I never play because it's too polite.

That thing definitely pushes all the buttons for me and if they made a production model in a different color with shiny hardware I'd be all over it.

I agree about both sets of pickups.
I've been eyeing to get a Cutlass as I'm in the market for an HSS guitar. The Axis is my absolute favourite neck. A respected YouTuber has said the Cutlass neck was reminiscent of the Axis profile, but I haven't been able to try on to confirm it.
What about it kept you from getting a Cutlass?

It's reminiscent in the sense that they both have narrow nut widths and probably similar depths but the carves are not the same. The Axis is an asymmetrical neck while the Cutlass is a soft V. I'm an asym or round neck person, the V is really tough for me to get into.

If I could I'd get a Cutlass and a Luke III and have EBMM swap out the stock necks for Axis or Valentine necks. As it is I've ended up deep in the partscaster world instead, which is also a lot of fun.

Yeah I also think the stock pickups were better.

Well, Rabea is endorsed by Bare Knuckle Pickups (his photo is on the homepage of BKP website) and has his own signature pickups.
Always hard to know with the guys who have so many endorsements if their choice are purely artistic choices (remember Johnny Hiland ?)

Uggh, that guy is the worst. I'll never forget that PG video they did where he had signature pickups, signature wiring harness, signature picks, and even name dropped the nail salon that did his acrylics.

I feel like he's been a user of their pickups for some time now, since before any endorsements. I think he used them in his Chapmans as well.

Maybe just the camera angle but that neck looks tasty!

Were the stock pickups the HT ones? Before he swapped the pickups, he did a few seconds of playing with gain or drive and it sounded really cool. Anyone know how he was getting that sound?

I suppose he is using Neural DSP Archetype: Rabea ... his signature plugin.

I was wondering the same.
