I'm totally jealous.

I played that rig at the Musik Messe Frankfurt. Very cool amp and it pairs up really well with a Stingray.

BP, I'd love to hear your opinnion when you get your's.

No, sorry,

we did not take any pictures. They had a Stingray 4 HS at the Markbass booth that anyone could use to check out the gear. The TTE 500 sounded very good with it.

It has a classic passive tone stack, so you can only cut frequencies with the EQ. So with an active bass like a ray you can run the amp's tone controls all open and leave all eq-ing to the bass preamp. I did not need the build in compressor, but that again is just me...

That is just the way it is with all the classic tube amp heads like the Hiwatt 200. It feels funny at first when neutral sound is all knobs at 10, but why not?
