Just a little frustrated.

Been calling around a few of the major retailers in the UK to see if any of them have any majesty's in stock.....

Short answer 'No we would just order them in if required'.

It seems that due to the high end price very few companies are prepared to actually put any in the shops.

So it seems they are happy to buy it in and charge you the nice hefty price tag to do so, but not actually be prepared to allow the consumer the ability to make a decision based on trying out the instrument first.

I spent £1800 on a Jem 7 VW on a blind purchase and that ended up a life lesson and it i got burned doing so.

I understand the cost to companies and how putting one in the shop can be an issue but it seems that just because the UK price is so high shops are not willing to do so, where as in the USA many shops/retailers have them in. I wonder if that's indicative of the price difference?

I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens.

Give it time. It's a brand new guitar, and like the other instruments in the JP line, I presume it will become more common in your neck of the woods in a reasonable time frame.

Also, I would add that the fact that they are so rare to find in stores is a testament to how great of a guitar it is: I ordered mine sight unseen (as I did with my JP13) and couldn't be happier. Worst-case scenario, if you dislike it, you can probably sell it for nearly exactly what you paid for it no problem.

They just can't keep up supply with the demand. Like Big Poppa said, it's their most successful new model ever. I know Sweetwater can't seem to keep one in stock. Luckily I ordered mine from my dealer when he went to NAMM

If it's any consolation I have only seen one here in the US... And it was sold before I got to try it.

I think GuitarGuitar are getting one or two in, at least they said they were. They'll happily ship between shops as the high end stuff tends to start in Newcastle.

Maybe Strings & Things could have some kind of showroom for times just like this? Especially as music shops in the UK are dropping like flies.
