Guys, I just picked this up yesterday from a gentleman that ordered this new in 1974. It's been in his house ever since. There's not one scratch or tear in the tolex, or any rust on the corners, or any discoloring of the grill cloth, etc. (2) 115 RH cabs, (1) HD 130 head. The cabs are loaded with Altec Lansing speakers. He said he special ordered it with Lansings... HD130 amp ser# A001535. I fired it up, first thing, it sounds awesome! Massive tone.... One of those rare finds that we all read about! Enjoy the pics:

There used to be an amp like that at a school I went to. I am sure it saw a fair amount of abuse over the years and needed considerable maintenance (new tubes!) and as a result, sounded like mud.

Cool to see yours in such good condition and glad to hear it sounds really good!

How did you find this? Was it on E-Bay or something like that?

Found this on a "Craigslist" ad nearly a year ago... Talked to the guy but didn't have the $$$ at that time..... He told me he would hold it for me, and he did! I know it sounds crazy, but thats how it went down........

That really brings me back to the rig I had in 1978. I had the HD130 and one 1x15 cabinent. Of course it had my 78 SR4 plugged into it. Everyone in the SF Bay Area had Fenders and SVTs. Guess I've been a fanboy for a really long time.

That is a great find! I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.

Wow! Brings back memories! That was my main rig for a good 10 years or so. I used a single cab and was offered the speaker upgrade but could not afford it at the time.

I sold it about 5-6 years ago to a guy who used it a few times and then, without telling me, resold it! :(

Great durable beast of an amp!

Well after warming up the tubes, and having some time to adjust tone, this amp sounds as good or even better than it looks!!! Massive sound..... Very old-school tone, but thats hard to beat.
I've had many chances to sell, already. Some really good offers, but not ready to part with it just yet! Just wanted to update the forum on the outcome of the sound.... Keep laying low.....!
