I was browsing through Yahoo Japan (Japan's Ebay equivalent) and came across this beautiful Redwood Top HH Stingray up for sale.
Not an expert on Musicman basses, but looks to be pretty rare and some kind of anniversary model judging by the plate on the 12th fret.
You have to scroll down to see the photo's properly;

??????

It's going for (approx.) $4000. :eek:

Certainly gave me GAS... :D

100 basses in total is fairly rare in my book ;)

what is more rare is the 1000 year old redwood.. i barely dare to touch mine, every time i do i start thinking about what that bass has seen...
perhaps it was there when kennedy was shot, when armstrong took the first step on the moon, during the civil war, when the first settlers came.. dang its even so old it even survived the dark middle ages... hmm..
i think i must play it more to overcome the "fear" :D

Only a 100?!
I don't feel so silly then. ;)

I can totally understand that fear. But perhaps all those old stories can translate into some amazing songs (and incredible tone).

But congratulations on owning one. The Redwood looks amazing!
