Hey cats I just got in my third SUB, all black, with the black matt finish pickguard...ok before I get into the details, let's just say when my wife saw the postal delivery slip, she flipped...and to make matters worse, the customs people screwed up on the value, and charged me double taxes (I'm filing for an appeal :D )...but who cares right, cause once I cleaned her up, and put a fresh coat of lemon oil on the fretboard, some brand new Regular Slinky's, dropped the action down to 1/16" I was in heaven. Man I love these guitars, I don't know I guess if you knew me and knew how budget concious I am, then you'll understand why these guitars appeal to me so much...and the feel...ohhhh the feel, I just love them. So that's it, my wrist is pretty sore...oh dang I forgot to mention another important thing....

I'm going to be returning this guitar because there's no freakin birdseye...........

Hahahahahaha...no, no just kidding, but seriously I wanted to mention how friggin impressed I am with those Slinky's...I stretched them just once and they stayed in tune, with all of the bending and stuff...wow impressive...

Actuall the Subs are full over Birdseye!!!! EBMM doesn't like birsdseye because of all the problems it causes so they put them on the Subs and paint over them!!!!

Glad she made it there OK!

I know I have to divide the number by 2, but what did you get charged on duty if you don't mind me asking?

I was supposed to get charged 63.00 and they charged me 102.00 But there's a documenton the back of the shipping slip, that allows one to ask for a refund...I have the paypal document and the Ebay listing...I guess what customs did was open the package and when the saw the hang tags they revised the value...bastids

You have me wanting to sell my acoustic to buy a sub. I dont need it though. How do the finished necks play? Are they like other painted necks or has ebmm done something to make them less sticky?

I played one once, and I believe they are less sticky than others axes I've played

Not sticky at all, very silky...you have to say to yourself...here's a guy with a 1600.00 EBMM JP7, sitting in a case yet he chooses to play a SUB1...

Actually that's funny cause I oiled and waxed my Pet's neck yet I think I goofed, cause it's kinda sticky, so I'll have to re-sand and re-apply...although I am becoming really fond of just a sanded unfinished feel.
