I took one of those plastic Danelectro Chicken Salad Vibrato's and put it in a nice die-cast housing and made it true bypass. I also wired in a huge 8mm purple LED that pulses in time to the speed of the vibrato. The little on/off LED is the dot on the exclamation point. Check out the attachment photos.

I also made it glow in the dark and created the graphics using PC Paintbrush. Sounds great with the JP6!

For some reason i thought it was so coooooooooooooooooooooool!!! Must have taken a little time to do that!!:)

For some reason? It is cool! :D :D
Yes, it took much more time than I would have liked. It seemed like it would be easy but you have to remove one of two pc boards and fabricate a new power bias supply, give it all new pots and jacks, figure out what goes where, etc.
And try and cram it in to that tiny enclosure...

It is a great sounding pedal, which is why I thought it was worth taking out of that plastic case. I tried a Fulltone Deja vibe once and it gives that a run for its money. Maybe I will try and do a demo of the Silo 20th and the Vibe for you Tube.

Cool!!! You know how it goes, the floor pedal "space" is at a premium, so in order for an item to make it on my pedal board it has to be wayyyyyyyy ahead of the pack!!

Right now I have a Damage Control Delay Pedal and an Eventide Time Factor delay (as a back up), a Boss Flange and Tuner, MXR Phase 90 (the genuine) -I would like a trem pedal however, It's gotta be super!!!!!

I will definitely try it out. Did the mod's you do change the original sound at all - even the slightest??

Chicken Salad is a Univibe clone, the Danelectro Tuna Melt Trem is an excellent plain trem. (Tuna Melt re-house instructions. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=202746)

Yes, the sound changed. Sounds better because I did the foil and trim pot mods. I opened the box with the lamp and the four LDR's and put foil on the inside lid of the light box. This increases reflection and gives a little more dynamic sound. The original Univibe lamp was in a foil box. I am going to replace that foil top with a plexi mirror from the hobby store (used for lakes in dioramas) and see if that does anything. Next, there is an internal trim pot inside the case that allows you to fine tune the sweep and tone. I moved that trim pot so it is accessible from the outside as a third knob called "Delta-Q" on my box. You can't use a battery because the power drain from the lamp is horrific.
