Anybody thought about switching the wiring on the dual H SR5 to use more than 5 positions? Would be cool to get the H at the bridge and an S at the neck, and H at the neck and S at the bridge. Do they even make 7 positoin switches?

Would be a cool idea, for sure, but Im not about to do it. Something tells me no matter what I try, nothing will sound as good as the plain ol humbucker at the bridge, position 1.

i had always wanted to have two three-way switches and a blend pot. i think that would be so cool.

Do the pickups in the HH model have dummy coils like the H and Hs. If not, the bridge s and neck s would be pretty noisy.

Yikes, where's the flight manual?

For me, 4 knobs on the bass + a lever is complex enough.

I like the two switch idea better!!

Yeah, would need to know about the dummy coils though.

And about the 7-way, no I haven't even attempted to look. I was just curious if anybody else consider similar mods.

The blend knob will have to go elsewhere IMO. It may get in the way of slapping and popping for me. That's where my other fingers touch the bass.
