You gotta see the things this guy does with guitars!!!

I just sold my Ibanez PS 10 2 (paul stanley) and the buyer had me ship it to this guy to have a cracked mirror job done on it!!! It is gonna be sweet!

You guys are gonna call me crazy, but wouldn't a cracked mirror top look F***IN' sweet on an EVH???!!!!

Obviously i wouldnt do that to mine because it has such a nice quilt, but if i could find a beater/flame top or something like that..(like that one that went for $800 on ebay a month or so ago)..it could be really cool!!!

Or maybe even an Axis...heck, any EBMM for that matter!

I asked him to give me a quote for a EVH style guitar...he said around $450 for the cracked mirror top.

I think it would be really cool!

I do stained glass windows/Lampshades/mirrors/door glass as a hobby.
I think it's clever what he has done but if that is glass mirror, then surely it's not practical?
Unless of course (and I hope he is!!) he is using acrylic.

Stained Glass guitars? Art Deco or nouveau anybody? LOL!

it's real glass

from the dude's "cutting edge" gallery page:

I will NEVER use acrylic mirror for body inlay so don't ask. It will get scuffed and scratched up and end up being a waste of your money. This is a permanent inlay treatment that I can perform on virtually any solid body electric guitar with or with out binding, bolt-on or set neck, flat or tapered top body. I route the face of your guitar down to accommodate the mirror and adhesive and leave the binding on as a protective shield for your safety. I strive to custom cut each guitar out of one piece of GLASS mirror so the pieces go back together like a puzzle with tight joints inlaid into your guitar. After the GLASS mirror has been glued in place I go over the surface seeking out any stray sharp tips and grind them smooth. The end result is uneven to the touch but brilliant under bright lights or outdoors in the sun.

there was a part in his FAQ that said the average weight gain per guitar was about 1-1.5 lbs.

it probably brightens the tone a little too.

i just like the look....i think it would be cool to have on a guitar.

i bet it is a B**CH to do though! can you imagine the detail work involved in that!!
