Greetings! Forum noob-dude here; first post…

Proud owner of a 09’ EB-MM Axis in black cherry and love it! Neck, action, pickups, quilt-ee top, all awesome! Bought my guitar from a dealer halfway across the USA online; very positive experience. Required only a small amount of adjustment and fine tuning to my taste.

However, now I’m interested in checking out the other EB-MM models, especially curious about the EB-MM ASS in a hardtail (piezo maybe?). But I’d like to get my hands on ‘em, check out the neck, the top, the tone before buying.
The problem: the Find-A-Dealer tool on the MM website brings up a fairly large assortment of EB-MM Dealers in a 200 mile radius of where I live. But having checked alot, only a very small percent of these Dealers actually stock a single EB-MM guitar (including big ‘ole GC, multiple cities). Yes, they will order one from the factory for me in a heartbeat, but I’m interested in shopping old fashion style.

So was wondering if any of you Forum members or Mods would possibly share your recommendations on which EB-MM dealers (brick-n-mortar stores), in what cities, actually stock quantity and variety of these guitars? Anywhere, USA. I plan on doing some extensive traveling later this year, dropping in on relatives, west coast, etc, and may be able to drop by your favorite store on the way. Plus, new people to this Forum may benefit from knowing where to shop more locally to them. :)

Hey, thanks abunch for any suggestions! Look forward to the EB-MM discussion here on the Forum.

Strangebrew,
Should you make to Colorado, you need to check out Drum City Guitarland. I would not be shocked if they were one of the top sellers of guitars in the entire country. They have been around a long, long time and tons of EBMM in stock. Lefties, Dargies, 7 Stings, double necks, Lukes, Als, etc. I have played any EBMM guitar I have ever wanted to try out at this location. They roll inventory daily so it is a little hit or miss with very specific models or limiteds. Their website is not even close to what they have in that shop. Jason is the man for guitars, period. I hate plugging for anyone, but those guys deserve a shout out. DO NOT MISS a chance to see that shop and see all things guitar. That store trumps any I have ever set foot in, and that is quite a few.

You be able to get your local Guitar Center to transfer in an instrument if there is something you are interested in. I did that and bought my AL. Plus they have that take an extra 15% off this weekend. :D

SB,

Spoil yourself!!! If you get to the San francisco greater Bay Area you will be in driving distance of no less than a dozen plus guitar center stores. Start early, map it out and have fun (now, that's a "real" vacation, shopping for EBMM guitars!!) :)

Its weird sometimes looking for guitars, usually the stores will of course stock the usual suspects and then you get shops like one I walked into here in Prague where its almost all (90%) Cort and then wham! a couple beautiful Suhr Strats within reach and not a word from the sales guys when I tried it out or a sign that says "Ask For Assistance". Now onto EB/MM content, I found a store here that stocks MM and Sterling guitars and basses! Check out these photos. Link --> Rockster Music - Hudební nástroje - D

Usually, shops here just stock the cheap stuff.
