I just got myself set up to record stuff on the PC. I got the interface to hook up my POD XT and what not. I went and bought the recording software called Cubase SE. I loaded it with no problems and even played around with it for a few. Recorded a few test runs and played them back with great success. :D So far, so good...now, the problem.

I have read the whole manual to include the German and French language (Language of Love my A$$!), but it does not tell me how to turn my Cubase SE file into an MP3 so I can burn it to a CD to take to show off my new found riff.......anyone have any ideas on this?

if cubase does not allow for this...you might need a program like soundforge to do so....hit me up later and i'll fill you in....got your email but i've been mad busy...the lady and i just closed a deal on an apartment and we'll be moving in in a month.

IF SE is like SX, you want to do this:

1. File: Export: Audio Mixdown...
2. Save file type as mp3/MPEG Layer 3 (whichever it lists it as)
3. Set your attributes as 128 kBit/s; 44.100 kHz; Stereo
4. Output set to BUS1 (Stereo), Channels set to Stereo, and Sample Rate set to 44.100 kHz.

If not, then try exporting to WAV using the same steps, the exceptions being that you change the filetype in step #2, and in #4 setting the channels to Stereo Interleaved.

As far as burning, you could try exporting just as a WAV, and then using Media Player, Nero (or your CD burning software that you use), or your mp3 player to do so.

Hope that helps, koogs...
