Red or White Luke?

As a few of you know I'm pulling the trigger on ordering a Luke this Thurs/Fri. I'm going with the Natural headstock and no Piezo (Is it really worth the xtra cash?). My only sticking point has been color.

At home I already have a flamed blue (Axis), Sunburst (Epiphone LP---1st electric that holds sentimental value), Blond (G&L Legacy), Off-white w/ black pickguard (Heartfield Talon---what Vinnie Moore used to play) which is really my brothers, black (Ovation Custom Legend), and a natural (Martin D28).

I went through all the available colors and I've narrowed it down to the candy red and the white. I wish I could buy 2 but I can't. I'm looking for opinions that would sway me in one direction or the other. I appreciate your help, thanks guys,

I'm seem to remember the story of how the colour candy apple was made. I think it was by accident somebody had a can of red paint and spilt silver paint into it. I'm sure I'll get corrected if this not accurate.

The piezo is a nice option to have and worth it, IMO. One thing to take note of is that a Luke w/ piezo will not be set up to float although you can always remove a spring and float it yourself.

mmmmm candy red, l wanted candy red for my Luek, but l didn't end up getting it, l would suggest that color too, it looks fantastic. I've seen a white one too, and that also looks fantastic. The choices we all have to make.

The piezo element in the saddles needs pressure from the strings in order to work. If you set the piezo bridge to float, there will not be enough string pressure to make the saddles work properly. How many acoustic guitars have whammy bars anyway?

Thanks Jon. So what I'm understanding is that since a piezo Luke still has a tremolo, it can only be used to pull down, not up. Is that correct?

Or an ever better question is in what fashion can a Luke piezo tremolo be used? Am I correct in assuming that the tremolo can't be used when engaging the piezo? W/o the piezo can it only be used to pull down and not up?

Personally I only like the all white guitars with maple fretboards. But that's just me.

I like buttercream, but EBMM's white color is just "too white" for me

I think red is the answer. The only question now is piezo or not. Some of the comments have got me thinking, and I am now leaning toward it. I've never played w/ one and don't know anything about them (hooking them up to an amp etc...) How would I hook it up? How durable are they? Do I need to plug in 2 cords? Can it be mixed w/ a distored tone at the same time? Anyone have an instruction manual in pdf format or something, or know of a good faq page on how to work it? Is it made by Fishman?

Since I'm used to my Axis's floyd I assume the tremolo on the Luke will be similar if it has a piezo?

One more question (I'm starting to sound like Colombo now), does anyone think the matching headstock looks good and completes the instrument, or like me, prefers the natural wood headstock?
