Refinished guitars

I posted this in the ebay/craigslist thread, and I think the colour is stunning. It also looks like the guy with the spray gun knew what he (or she) was doing. Some of the hardware must have been changed too, as it's a mix of chrome and matte black. I really, really dig it and if I was in the market for (another) L3, this would be very high on my list despite the usual frowning upon refinished instruments...

I’d buy a refinished instrument - I like custom colors and good refinishers are worth their weight in gold. Look at the job Marty Bell did on @MagicJason Albert MM90

I just love my refinished ALMM90. It looks every bit as good as a factory finish. Just a hundred times better

And I've just sent a second guitar to Marty Bell for a sparkle pink refinish. A lighter shade than this L3 though.

I'd jump on this L3 for 2000 € (HSS/rosewood neck combo cannot be beaten.)

Red will be refinished.

And I have received a custom pickguard made with the last scrap of "white ice" material left in the world (according to Chandler lol)

Marty sent me small samples of 3 different shades of sparkle pink. As I did for my turquoize, I'll go with a mix of colors. 27p, 44p and 54p.

I have another Marty Bell refinish of a pre-roasted maple StingRay I posted about five months ago when I got it back:

Marty isn't the cheapest, but that dude came in about three times faster than he quoted and his work is great. I've read horror stories of going to other cheaper places and them not getting back to people, even after months of prodding.

Here's my Majesty in Ferrari Red. It was originally Polar Noir.
