I hated my PDN reflex when I got it....but then grew to love it....and then really love it. Now I want a regular reflex. The problem with this is the lack of colors. The ASS has like 4 times as many color choices. It would be nice if the reflex had more choices.

I am with you on that one, sure the lack of colours has not stopped me from buying any, but if the reflex AND the Gamechanger came in more colours <Cough> Candy apple red <Cough> I would have an extra guitar or two on my signature.

I know the only reason I have not ordered the GC yet is that it only comes in black and yes I know some people will say, well its only a colour, but if I am spending the best part of a months wages on something, I would at least like a few colours to pick my favorite from.

I have said it before, but if MM make the Gamechanger in any shade of red, Green, Purple, anything other than black or white I will put my money down right now and order one. No BS.

I feel for ya guys, but to paraphrase BP, "if I listened to everything the knuckleheads wanted, EBMM would go out of business"

We need more visible artists rocking Reflex's live. Demand goes up, options increase. I LOVE my 25th, and its my #1, and I look forward to that day.

This road has been traveled before, but with that said in time I'm sure there will be more colors if they continue to make these. BP said at one point they were having a hard time selling the 25th anniversary model and those were an incredible blood red flame and quilt... They were made of the best woods with the most detail. I just don't see them putting much effort into expanding the color line or providing the amazing quilts and flames at this point. No doubt the focus will be put on getting the stallion ramped up.

Having spent some time in manufacturing, I can safely say the cost impact of providing the reflex in an already offered color would be 0...as guitars, like any other mass produced part are usually finished in batches. The only reason I can see why they chose to offer the colors they did are because they are established "vintage" colors. This is rather self defeating. I see the reflex as a very versatile modern guitar that can be quite the shred machine in the right hands. Personally, I'd love a reflex in some hot color like tangerine pearl.

I would buy a Tangerine Pearl GC.

I wont pretend to understand the impact of adding extra colours would have on the production or ordering/coding process, but I would just like to have a few more choices as a consumer (yep I understand I am a minority of a minority and my opinion equals less than nothing in the real world).

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but this statement conflicts with the notion that EBMM's are made to order, with special exception for ones that are made for shows/events.

"Vintage"...doesn't that mean these need to be relic'd?!?! You know I'd prefer mine thrown on the ground a few times and with some paint chips. You know a chip off the old block guitar.

Now you see in the marketing world we go from one color option to the other. It's not to say we don't care about you customers, but it's the way we role... you know stay in business. Every guitar manufacturer on this planet offers different colors/limited editions every year. It's the way you get extra gravy when the train slows down.

I'm no expert now, but sometimes I think it's defeating for the manufacturers to offer the standard white, black, gold, or even sunburst. It's the way they do it though and maybe it works for life extension of some instruments or maybe it causes some instruments never to take off. EBMM is an aficionado instrument anyways so people that buy a reflex aren't really going to be noobs. It's not going to be a high flying mass produced off the shelf product. My point being that small production of limited colors may not be a winner for the sophisticated player, but I ant dat smart. Anyways, that's the way it is and that's all i gots to say.

What I'm saying is I'm sure EBMM takes as many guitars and basses of the same color that they have orders for and throw them in the booth at the same time. They aren't spraying one guitar at a time and then changing the color in the spray equipment. They'd go out of business that way.

Another option is to take a Reflex and have the top repainted.

I promised my wife that I wouldn't do this until after xmas, but I fully intend to buy the cheapest Albert Lee HH I can find and have the body repainted by a pro in sparkle paint. Color as yet to be determined.
