I'm going to be working over the summer and doing whatever I can over the next year to get enough money for a new bass, and I was wondering if I should aim for a Reflex or for a Gamechanger. Currently I have a Fender P-bass and I play metal, funk, and jazz. I love the everything about the Reflex, and the Gamechanger just seems to be all that and more. The Gamechanger seems like it would be the last bass I'd ever need, but, as petty as it may sound, I really don't want to get a black bass. The white Reflex looks perfect, but it could never have as much versatility as the Gamechanger. Is there any difference between the two other than the Gamechanger system? Will I really be missing out if I get a Reflex?

Welcome to the forum. I just got the Reflex Game Changer last weekend. I think the Game Changer versatility outweighs the limited color option. I would have preferred a different color, but how can you go wrong with what you get. At its core, it's a dual humbucker Reflex in black. You can program it to be exactly the same as a non GC Reflex. But adding the thousands of rewiring options with the GC options, they could have made them dirt colored and I probably would have still bought one.

Go Game Changer, all the way!

I was so amazed with 25th and later with serial reflex bass, so I couldn't wait for a GC  , ...but if I'd go for a new bass today, ...I'd go for a Gamechanger reflex!

OK, ...when 5 strings version will be available, of course!

Now I'm older :( , ...already own one of the first reflex basses, I could say a pretty rare beast at this point, ...so I can't afford a new GC and keep the reflex! :(

But who knows in the future, ...never say never! :)
