Well, all the pickup configs on the Reflex have their benefits, but my vote goes to the HH. I have a 25th HH and find it incredibly versatile. You have 4 settings - available in passive or active, series or parallel for a total of 16. In particular, the setting that gives you the two inner coils is a big favorite of mine, usually in series/passive mode.

I love this bass, I use it a lot, mostly in passive mode.

For me the two inner coils in active and parallel is one of my favorites also the bridge H...but the last couple of days I've been trying this configuration that you like and I find that it's really cool for must of the music I play...mustly heavy music...I was playing "Until it sleeps" by MetallicA with this configuration and it sounds good...

Hey vguilbault, if you want to try out a Big Al 5 SSS, let me know and we can get together. I haven't seen any around here other than the one I ordered. It is the same neck profile as the Sterling 5.

Cool!! Thanks a lot!! Where do you live in MTL?? Do you gig sometime in the area?
