Regrets?

Selling my mid eighties Charvel-Jackson Soloist (w/ Tiger Stripes no less) I bought it new. I initially wanted a Randy Rhoads model, but when I tried them I discovered just how uncomfortable a "V" guitar is for me. So I bought the Soloist - It sounded as big as a building, but it needed a setup about once a week.

P.S. - I like being married - my wife is my best friend - no B.S.

>^..^<

I'm with edensdad and BP on marriage...my wife is too cool to let go (musician friendly; don't read anything into that, f*ckers!).

Tonite I had dinner with a friend from college and he just got married and he was telling me how he regrets not being with every girl he had the opportunity to be with in his life, me too.....as for guitars I regret selling my les paul standard i paid 800 bucks for in 92, I used it to get a VH guitar but still, I wish I had kept it, it was a keeper...-
Well I got married just so I could guarantee a home run once in a while :D So no regrets there. Oh I know I regret losing 15-20 years of guitar playing, and not learning more...being a schmuck on guitar, is well being a schmuck on guitar...

Sounds alittle like me Raz, I did marry a singer though. Now she does more gigs than me!

Not selling CISCO systems @ 80

or 70...or 60...or 50, etc.

:(

OH GOD HAVE YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!@!!!@!#! I wish I had sold off all my WG stock in 97.

but enough about financial hoo-ha. I deeply regret trading my mint g&l rampage for a pre-gib steinberger, then having to sell the steinberger to make my car payment & rent a few years ago...

... and I regret the last 2 sticks I had to sell for the same reason over the last couple years too. BUT... to my credit, I have been fortunate enough to not have any regrets when it comes to EBMM guitars.

I regret selling another manufacture's guitar I had a long time ago... I with I never got rid of that one.....

I regret trading my blonde 1972 Telecaster Custom (not the re-issue) for an Epiphone Les Paul back in 1992. Every time I see the one just like it hanging up in Guitar Center for $3200, I think, "Man, that would get me a mint condition EBMM/EVH if I still had it."

I also regret not trying Line 6 sooner.

i regret that i once bought a Gibson SG ... i hated the damn thing. im not too keen on selling stuff - kindof got a packrat thing going on - and the SG didnt make it past a year.

it wasnt bad - but for the $ i coulda got me an ASS or a Silo ... so i guess the root of what im saying is that i wish id discovered EBMM guitars earlier. id always been a huge fan of the basses but not the guitarsn till about a year ago; now i have 2 so i guess its all good :)

I regret..... (geez...this thread is starting to sound like a bad Blue Collar stand up routine.)

Not paying attention and not practicing more when I was young and taking lessons. Now I actually DO want to be able to play guitar well.

I really regret not being able to make the open house. It's kind of like missing a super family reunion. Ah, but alas, with my family situation as it is it would be way too much to ask to either try to travel the the clan or leave them all with my wife alone for any period of time. My stepson, bless his heart, has gained weight and is almost 80 lbs. My wife tries like hell to lift him but he's just out grown her. Luckily she married a giant 6'5" German man who lifts racks of gear twice that size! :)

Tell me about it!
Don't remind me please.

Just think of how quiet this forum will be that weekend!!! :(
I better plan something else to do!

I regret selling a bunch of BOSS floor pedals I had. I figured a rack processor will do it all without batteries or pwr supplies. Now I wish I had those things back, they sounded alot better.

I'm GONNA regret losing my driver's license in the Detroit airport last week if I don't get the replacement soon enough, I might not be able to get on the plane to SLO next month without it.

I have an ME 50 that may need a new home :D

I regret buying a 2004 Les Paul standard. It played and sounded like a beauty, but caused me a nasty bad back after 4 gigs in a row. This meant a spell in the Emergency Room, and a week of work. Sold it to finance my 4th EBMM!!

I also regret coming home from Vegas today, and teh fact my Sweetheart could not come back to London with me... :(
