For those who have multiple Lukes, is there a difference in the sound and/or output between the two?

With EMG's the sound should be consistent but you get different saddles with the Piezo model and the battery has to power the pickups plus the piezo...

well, my 2 non-piezo lukes sound a bit different from eachother. :D

I'd say the slight difference in tone shouldn't dissuade you as much as the "Is this a feature I really need/wanna pay for" equation?

Stock version, the piezo saddles feel much better for those players that rest palm near/on bridge...as no screws stick up from it. Though the non ones screws can be changed.

I really like the fuller sound when blending pickups. haven't played one of mine in over a month. Hmmmn...gotta go. :D

Thanks Keith...I gather from what you are saying that there is a tone difference between piezo & non-piezo Luke's when just the EMG's are being used...can you describe the difference?

Pretty much certain on Radience Red, matching headstock and piezo...unless the Luke suddenly appears in a trans finish in the next few months :D

BTW Cliff I've been meaning to get in touch with you as it looks like I'll be moving back to Oxford before the end of the year...got a new job in High Wycombe which I start next week!

It'll be good to get jamming with you again!

Rad Red looks stunning on the Luke especially under stage lights! I was really surprised by how much gold there is in that colour when i finally saw it.

Good news about your return too.

Lemme know when your back and settled and we'll hook up for some jamming. I'm mobile now too so should make things easier.

I think Sunburst was the only trans finish that was offered during my buying spree.

Pacific Blue Burst is God's own colour;)

Seeing as you can get it on any of the Alder bass's I don't see why the Luke can't have it as well:(

From the Land of Luke Lovers (the guitar not the guy...okay, the guy too), a fine choice.

I think you'll like it way better than you would've my tobacco axis SS w/ piezo. ;)
