Hey guys!

I happened upon a sweet deal that I could not pass up, so I bought a Reflex yesterday. I look forward to its arrival. I’ve never played one but it looks like a larger Axis with a comfortable arm bevel so what’s not to love? I believe that they came with the Axis pickups.

On second thought, I suppose that I have owned a version of the Reflex. I had a 25th Anniversary Bass. I guess we could call that a close cousin of a Reflex guitar.

Nice and congrats yep Axis pups and well if you had a 25th you had a Reflex, these were nice as well as an Armada and Gamechanger, too bad these did not sell better.

Thanks Glenn. I found it online at Guitar Center. They dropped the price $400 so I immediately pounced on it.
I saw that but GC's pics always look like bad mug shots. :)

I hope it's excellent! As an Axis SS fan, I hope you'll give us a full report/comparison.

Thanks guys!

That’s true, their pictures are terrible. Consistently. 😂 Since I am getting a painted guitar I found a nice picture online in the right color with the uncovered pickups. So, that picture I posted is not the actual guitar that I am getting. This is their picture.

I had both a 25th Anniversary AND a Reflex, both great guitars. I need to be on the lookout for another one...
this...if I ever find a white one with the black binding, maple board and black pick up rings....it's mine. It was my very first EBMM guitar and to this day I regret getting rid of it. Congrats @Tollywood I think you'll enjoy it. I was watching the Reflex's they had and wondered where the 2nd one went. Now I know ;) If they dropped the price $400 from the price I saw you just got the deal of the century :)

Thanks! I’m very happy about the price. This is what is was like to buy a used Music Man ten years ago. ❤️ My friend Mario has the one that you desire. His is a Game Changer, but it’s not for sale.

I agree, time really does fly. A little too fast. Don’t blink.

I’ll be honest, I’m a little intimidated by the Game Changer. I could make do with one bridge humbucker and one volume knob.

The great thing about the Gamechanger is that you can set every single switch position just the bridge humbucker. In effect everything else becomes like Lee Sklar's "producer switch". 😁

The guitar arrived today and I was very disappointed. I immediately returned it at my local Guitar Center.

The first thing I noticed was the obvious use of a neck shim with a big enough of a gap to slide a medium guitar pick into. Yet the action was still very high. The frets had sprouted all over the neck. Someone removed the neck side strap button and relocated it further back, right along the back edge of the body. They then filled the original hole and painted over it with white paint or nail polish.
